Mark TiddyOn the 18th October 1986 at 6 in the morning I entered the world…I was a little smaller than I am now, cried more and told considerably less bad jokes…as time went by I got bigger (not that much taller though!!!).

I grew up in Little Common (East Sussex) attending Little Common Primary School where I began to learn keyboard…this continued as I entered Bexhill High School and in 1999 my family moved to Hemsby in Norfolk and I started at Flegg High School…around year 9 I started learning drums and this continued as the keyboarding ended. I finished High School and went onto East Norfolk Sixth Form and gained a BTEC National Diploma for IT Practitioners and taught myself guitar and rediscovered the keyboard…but more in piano form (also self taught).

Throughout all these years I always went along to church with my parents and discovered how boring church can be, however when we moved to Norfolk although church was boring I started going to After 8′s Youth Group and decided that this Christian thing was something I truly believed and wanted to take seriously…as I entered college I met a few people who went to another youth group and I started going to that too where I learnt more about God and began to work out what giving everything to God actually meant…at the same time I felt God nudging me towards Youth Work….so I applied to do a gap year and in September 2005 moved to Peterborough to work for Park Road Baptist Church.

Towards the end of my gap year I was accepted onto the Oasis Youth Work & Ministry course and Park Road Baptist Church applied to keep me as their youthworker throughout the degree spending part my time doing a degree and the rest of my time doing youth work.

In August 2009 I moved to South Cave (Hull) having accepted the position as Youth Facilitator working for the Hunsley Christian Youth Trust which is a new youth/schools work initiative set up by rural parishes outside of Hull.

On the 17th July 2010 I got married to Joanna at St Andrew’s Church in Gorleston and we now both live in South Cave. Jo is training to be a teacher.

My blog started off as a place of randomness joining people like Ben who already blogged and has developed into a place of thinking….this site is the latest stage in my blog life because it allows me to merge my music, photos and thoughts/ponderings into one place.
